This standard specifies the relevant characteristics of geosynthetic barries, including polymeric geosynthetic barriers, clay geosynthetic barriers and bituminous geosynthetic barriers, when used as fluid barriers in the construction of tunnels and underground structures, and the appropriate test methods to determine these characteristics.
